Loggia
This Oak Loggia was constructed for clients in a country house in Mid Wales and was designed around the four antique nine foot cast iron columns which the client had owned for many years and wanted to use as the front of the design.
There was already planning permission in place for a conservatory but the client decided to have an open veranda constructed on their garden room wall in order to create a luxurious space to sit and relax while enjoying the views of the wildlife and rolling Welsh countryside.
The constraints involved in this project were to ensure an adequate pitch in the roof while still using the full nine foot height of the antique columns and the placement of the Loggia around the existing windows and doors.
