This staircase is part of an ongoing project for an elderly client in a rural location in the Elan Valley.

The client wanted to divide her house into two separate living spaces to enable her to continue living

in her own home whilst providing satisfactory self contained accommodation for her live-in carer.

The stair case was designed with two winder treads at the top, it allowed plenty of head room through the door under the stairs at the same time keeping the stair case compact so it did not encroach on the valuable space, we also put a bull nose on the bottom tread as a feature but also to help the approach and give a little more room.
